Eyelid Pictures (facing the sun with eyes closed) extends an ongoing investigation on the plastic qualities and the materiality of light. Eyelid Pictures derive from Especulaciones 2014-present; a series of oil paintings on circular canvases documenting several failed attempts to represent the tone perceived when facing the sun with eyes closed.
This time, however, digital photos evoke these fleeting images by photographing a fingertip covering the lens of an iPhone.
The photos are to be displayed on the billboards of HEK and Atelier Mondial during the two consecutive weekends (December 4th and 11th) of Atelier Mondial group exhibition.
